In a measure which demonstrated Mr. Paul Packer concern, chairman of the USCPHA pleaded the case of the U.S. government for the Lithuanian government to uphold the international and human rights of those buried in the cemetery and their descendants. As moves towards the construction of a conference call on a cemetery in Vilnius have accelerated, Mr. Packer pledged his opposition to its development and called for a halt to all steps to realize construction of the conference center.
